Can I leave luggage at Keukenhof?
Yes. Smaller items can be placed in free lockers near the main entrance. Bags that are too large for the lockers can be left at the free luggage depot near the entrance, subject to the park's operating arrangements and available capacity.
Free lockers for smaller bags
The lockers are intended for smaller belongings you do not want to carry around the gardens. Keukenhof lists the locker dimensions as approximately 25 cm high × 55 cm wide × 45 cm deep. Measure bulky cabin bags before relying on a locker.
Store valuables sensibly and keep anything you need during the day—phone, tickets, medication, wallet, camera and weather protection—with you.
What if my suitcase is too large?
Larger luggage can be left at the luggage depot near the entrance. This is especially useful for international visitors travelling between Amsterdam, Schiphol, hotels or other destinations on the same day.
Travel tip: do not build a tight onward connection around collecting luggage at closing time. Return to the entrance with enough margin to retrieve your bags and reach your transport.
Where are the lockers?
The lockers and luggage service are located near the entrance area rather than spread throughout the park. On arrival, follow the facility signs or ask a member of staff before walking deeper into the gardens.
Use the Keukenhof map and facilities guide to orient yourself before your visit.
What should you keep with you?
- Your Keukenhof ticket and any tour or transfer booking confirmation.
- Passport or identity documents if needed for the rest of your trip.
- Medication and essential personal items.
- A charged phone and portable power bank.
- A rain layer or warm layer in changeable spring weather.
- Camera equipment you plan to use in the gardens.
Arriving from Schiphol or Amsterdam with luggage
If Keukenhof is part of a travel day, the luggage facilities can make a visit much more comfortable. Still, check the baggage rules for your own transport provider: a coach, transfer or the Keukenhof tours may have separate limitations on suitcase size and storage.
When booking the Keukenhof tours, follow the baggage instructions shown for that specific departure. The park's luggage depot is a facility at Keukenhof itself and should not be confused with storage on a vehicle.
Can I bring bags into the gardens?
Small personal bags are common, but carrying a large suitcase through crowded paths is inconvenient even if technically accepted at an entrance. Using the luggage depot keeps your visit easier for you and other visitors.
Collecting your bags before leaving
Remember which entrance area you used and leave enough time to return there. Keukenhof is a large walking park, so reaching the exit from the far side can take longer than expected when paths are busy.
Visitor facilities are based on Keukenhof's published practical information. Check entrance signs on the day in case operating arrangements change.
