Visitors from outside the Netherlands often know the little white rabbit as Miffy. In Dutch, her original name is Nijntje. The character was created by Dutch illustrator Dick Bruna and has become an international icon of Dutch children's design.

At Keukenhof you will therefore see both names used in travel information. If you are searching locally for the event, playground or family activities, the Dutch word Nijntje can also be useful.

Keukenhof says 2027 tickets will go on sale from around mid-November 2026. Tickets use a fixed date and arrival time slot, so families travelling specifically for Miffy should not rely on buying at the last minute.
